Hellllllooooooooooooo! Long time no favorites! Listen, we’ve all seen the memes – January was a long-ass month. But you know what, I loved it. Time usually flies by way too quickly, so I’m glad we got the chance to savor a nice long January and everything it had to offer. Alright, let’s go!
OKAY, where do I even begin??!? I guess, first of all, if you haven’t heard any of Hayley Kiyoko’s music yet, take a break and go do that right now. Her music is all over iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, etc., so there are no excuses. After you do that, come back here so that we can talk about her.
What a month. December was kind of a whirlwind, which was to be expected. I spent half of the month frantically wrapping up the semester and the other half on vacation. Nothing to complain about there. Since not very much was done in December, this should be a pretty short one. Here we go!
H O W is it December?! November flew the fuck by. I say this every month of every year, but in my defense, it’s always true. Okay, moving on. Aside from the fact that I found my first gray hair (?!!?!?), November was a pretty decent month. Read on to find out what made it great.
‘Tis the season to buy many, many presents! I love exchanging gifts . . . when I feel like I have great gift ideas. Otherwise the gift buying process is extremely anxiety-provoking for me. Anyone with me? Up until this point, I have been the kind of shopper who goes searching for specific products. I haven’t really tended to be great at stumbling upon great products, on sale or not. But this year, I’m making a concerted effort to be a different kind of shopper! I’m searching out deals, planning gift ideas ahead, figuring out what’s “in” now. What is this? Adulthood?? Wild.
I’m planning to make this post a running list of gift ideas that I stumble across throughout the holiday season. These are all products that are on my wish list, on the wish lists of friends and family, or things I think lots of people out there might like. You can click the link or photo associated with each post to get more information on each item and to purchase it. Here’s to hoping you find an idea in here somewhere!
It’s been in the 30s for the past two days here, so I’m pretty sure that means that I can finally say that winter is here. What a gift. As I think I’ve said in just about every blog post, I hate sweating and I love cold weather. So, naturally, I am all about this time of year. Read on to see other non-sweating related reasons that I can’t get enough of Winter.
Man, I feel like I just wrote one of these . . . I guess that’s because I did. Whoops! I was realllllly late with my September favorites, so I thought I’d try to be a little faster with October. This month was approximately 2 hours long, so there wasn’t time for much, but here’s what I did get into last month:
I cannot believe that we are almost done with October and I am just now writing this post . . . Shameful. September was a pretty good — albeit very busy — month. These things helped me survive through the busiest of times:
Happy September, everyone! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been eagerly awaiting September since the last truly cool day of Spring. I sweat like a running faucet alllll summer long. The fact that 15 minutes of my commute is by foot does not help matters at all. And in case you think I’m exaggerating, I’ve literally had several strangers check in with me about the sheer amount of sweat I am exuding as I wait for my train. My body does not mess around.
While I hate the hot-hot heat of summer, there are plenty of things I do love about it and plenty of things I will miss. Without further ado, here are the things that really did it for me in August:
